Chardham Yatra Package Opening and Closing Dates 2025

'Chardham Yatra 2025' will start on 30 April. Gangotri along with Yamunotri Temple Doors always open on the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya. Upcoming Akshay Tritiya is on 30 April 2025. Kedarnath's door date will be decided on Maha Shivratri (26 February). Char Dham yatra is a very important Hindu religious journey of four holy temples in Uttarakhand.     Itinerary

    Day 01: Haridwar – Barkot

    Drive to Barkot via Dehradun & Mussoorie. Enroute visit Kempty Fall and others later drive straight to your Hotel for night halt.

     

    Drive to Hanuman Chatti, for Janki chatti (It helps to reduce the trek upto 8 kms), trek start from here to Yamunotri (6 kms). Either by walk or by horse or by Doli at own cost. Arr. Yamunotri, One can cook rice by packing it in a cloth and dipping it in the hot water of the hot kund. Pilgrims take this cooked rice home as “Prasad”. Here near the temple “Pooja” can be offered to Divya Shila, after taking bath in Jamnabai Kund’s warn water and having “Darshan” of pious “Yamunaji” returning to Hanuman Chatti. Later drive back to Barkot. Overnight stay at Hotel.

    Hanuman Chatti:  The confluence of Hanuman Ganga & Yamuna River.
    Yamunotri Temple: Maharani Gularia of Jaipur built the temple in the 19th Century. It was destroyed twice in the present century and rebuilt again.
    Surya Kund: There are a Number of thermal springs in the vicinity of the temple, which flows into numerous pools. The most important of these is Surya Kund. 

    • Depart for Uttarkashi, a spiritual town on the banks of the Bhagirathi River.
    • Visit the Shakti Temple (featuring a massive trident) and the Vishwanath Temple.
    • Explore the scenic beauty of the region and relax.
    • Check into your hotel for an overnight stay.
    • Early morning drive to Gangotri, a sacred temple dedicated to Goddess Ganga.
    • En route, visit Harsil Valley, renowned for its natural beauty.
    • Take a holy dip in the Bhagirathi River and offer prayers at the temple.
    • Explore the serene surroundings before driving back to Uttarkashi.
    • Overnight stay in Uttarkashi.
    • Begin your journey to Guptkashi, a town known for its spiritual ambiance and panoramic views.
    • En route, see Tehri Dam, one of the largest dams in Asia.
    • Upon arrival, check into your hotel.
    • In the evening, visit the Ardh Narishwar Temple in Guptkashi.
    • Overnight stay in Guptkashi.
    • Drive to Sonprayag/Gaurikund early in the morning, the base for the Kedarnath trek.
    • Trek 18 km to Kedarnath or opt for a helicopter ride for convenience.
    • Reach the holy Kedarnath Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva.
    • After darshan and prayers, relax and explore the surrounding Himalayan vistas.
    • Overnight stay in Kedarnath.
    • Trek back to Sonprayag or take a helicopter.
    • Drive back to Guptkashi and rest after the long trek.
    • Overnight stay in Guptkashi.
    • Drive to Badrinath, the final dham of your pilgrimage.
    • En route, visit Joshimath, the winter seat of Lord Badrinath.
    • On arrival, check into your hotel and rest.
    • In the evening, attend the Arti ceremony at the Badrinath Temple.
    • Overnight stay in Badrinath.

    • Early morning visit to Tapt Kund and offer prayers at the temple.
    • Explore nearby attractions like Mana Village, Vyas Gufa, and Bhim Pul.
    • Depart for Rudraprayag, stopping at Karnaprayag and Nandaprayag to witness the confluence of rivers.
    • En route, visit Devprayag, the confluence of Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers.
    • Arrive in Haridwar by evening for departure or an optional Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri.
